Mark Fox and Angie Wang are designers at Design is Play and instructors at California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco.
Their posters are included in archives and museum collections around the world—an indication of both the quality of the posters and their cultural significance.
Fox and Wang’s work is held by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London; the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich; the Poster Museum at Wilanów, Warsaw; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg; the United States Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), among others.

Fox and Wang are co-authors of Symbols: A Handbook for Seeing, published by The Monacelli Press in 2016.

The poster was elegantly described by Italian adman Dino Villani (1898–1989) as a “paper siren.” Our store is named in honor of Villani’s poetic thought.
